History of web tech

    About computer knowledge:

The term "father of the computer" typically refers to Charles Babbage. Charles Babbage, an English mathematician, philosopher, inventor, and mechanical engineer, is best known for conceptualizing and designing the first mechanical computer, known as the Analytical Engine, in the 1830s. Although the machine was never completed in his lifetime, Babbage's ideas laid the groundwork for modern computers.

Tim Berners-Lee, on the other hand, is known as the inventor of the World Wide Web. In 1989, while working at CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research), he proposed an information management system that eventually became the World Wide Web. He developed the first web browser and web server and wrote the first web page. Berners-Lee's invention revolutionized the way people access and share information on the internet, making the web an integral part of modern life.

While both Charles Babbage and Tim Berners-Lee made groundbreaking contributions to the field of computing, their contributions were in different areas and times. Babbage's work laid the foundation for the development of modern computers, while Berners-Lee's invention transformed the way we use those computers to access information.
